OUR APPROACH

At Zonderland & Van Zeijl we guide healthcare organisations towards structural improvements in healthcare logistics, ICM and planning, supply chain management, goods logistics, Lean, data-driven process optimisation, veterinary capacity management or integral process optimisation for specialist pharmaceutical care. Our approach consists of three phases: Quick Scan, Transition and Secure & Maintain.

FASE 1: QUICK SCAN

By means of a Quick Scan analysis we map the current situation and detect bottlenecks. In this we combine different methods such as observations, interviews, data analysis and desk research.

Our findings are clearly written down in a report and presented to the organization.

What does it yield?

  • Insight into the current and desired situation.
  • Bottlenecks that hinder the achievement of the desired situation.
  • Points for improvement that provide direction for a redesign and improvement program.

This phase focuses on healthcare organizations that experience challenges in the areas of planning, process optimization and capacity management. With this, we lay the foundation for sustainable change within the organization, so that we can make the step from insight to implementation.

PHASE 2: TRANSITION

In the transition phase, a redesign is drawn up based on the findings from the Quick Scan. Improvements are realised via a short-cycle process, after which the redesign is implemented in an improvement programme. In addition, we provide an indication of the required investments and commitment, as well as the expected results.

What does it yield?

  • A clear and thorough description of the desired situation, so that we can work together towards a clear goal
  • An organized transition to the desired situation.

This phase focuses on healthcare organizations that have completed the Quick Scan phase.

PHASE 3: SECURING AND MAINTAINING

In the final phase, we focus on guidance in recurring components of the solution, such as the tactical plan consultation (TPO). In addition, we ensure the maintenance of calculation models and planning methodology, so that optimal functioning is guaranteed.

What does it yield?

  • Securing the solution.
  • Not a statistical, but a dynamic solution that moves with changes within and outside the organization.
  • Structural improvement with impact on patients, employees and the organization.

This phase focuses on smaller healthcare organizations with insufficient knowledge and/or manpower to secure and maintain the solution themselves. Here we support the continuation of the improvements and ensure that the solution continues to contribute to the organization.
