My personal goal is to impact the lives of patients by improving access to healthcare, eliminating waiting times and optimizing the use of scarce capacity in healthcare. This allows healthcare providers to focus on patient care instead of the processes around it. Since 2021, I have also been active in the veterinary sector, which I have a great affinity with. Here we support veterinary practices in efficiently meeting a growing demand for care with scarce staff.

My background in Technical Mathematics and Industrial Engineering forms the basis for my analytical approach. Through the knowledge I have gained by doing projects at 100 healthcare institutions worldwide, a PhD in Healthcare Logistics and work experience at an academic hospital, device manufacturer and a health insurer, I have built up a lot of expertise in optimizing healthcare processes. Together with my colleagues at Zonderland & Van Zeijl I translate this knowledge into pragmatic plans with tangible results.

My areas of expertise are:

  • Integrated Capacity Management and Planning
  • Healthcare logistics
  • Change management
  • Data science & artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare
  • Data-driven process optimization
  • Queueing theory
  • Mathematical modeling

Over the past 10 years, I have enjoyed building up experience and expertise in strategic, tactical and operational issues in the healthcare and veterinary sector. The common thread in all these assignments is working towards a process in which people and resources are deployed as intelligently as possible in order to increase the value for the patient. In my role as a consultant, I have done assignments for various healthcare organisations in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. I am a trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and use this expertise during the assignments. For me, it is an important goal to make healthcare processes noticeably simpler for the patient and the healthcare professional.

My areas of expertise are:

  • Integrated Capacity Management and Planning
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Change management
  • Execution strategy

My personal mission is to make the organization of care just as good as the quality of care. In this way, we improve the accessibility of care, care institutions remain financially healthy and care staff experience a stable workload, allowing them to focus on what really matters. Providing high-quality care to the patient.

My background in Technical Business Administration in healthcare I completed with a master thesis in Australia, where I got to know a completely different healthcare system from the inside. In recent years I have contributed to improving healthcare processes at both academic and top clinical and general hospitals. In this I have developed myself into a pragmatic change agent who, in close cooperation with organizations, optimizes planning and scheduling and helps to cash in on tangible results.

My areas of expertise are:

  • Integrated Capacity Management and Planning
  • Change management
  • Healthcare logistics
  • Project management

My goal is to help healthcare organizations plan smarter and thus contribute to keeping healthcare accessible. I enjoy understanding complex processes and systems and helping to optimize them. To this end, I use my knowledge and experience in the field of capacity management, data analysis, operations research, project management and tool development. I am particularly interested in devising, developing and implementing hands-on tools that help to plan smarter.

Healthcare is a continuous process. Well-organized care is therefore essential and supports healthcare professionals, so that they can continue to focus on what really matters: the best possible quality care for the patient.'

With a background in both Health Sciences and Skin Therapy, I have been able to experience healthcare from different angles in recent years. In my role as a skin therapist, I have been in direct contact with patients/clients for a number of years, while during my master's degree in Health Sciences I focused on optimizing organizational processes within various healthcare organizations. I have been working at Zonderland & Van Zeijl since February 2025. In my role as a junior consultant, I have the opportunity to develop myself further and contribute to Integrated Capacity Management. Within projects, I am committed to organizing processes around staff scheduling and subsequently scheduling patients more efficiently. This helps healthcare organizations to optimally deploy their capacity. In this way, we work together on future-proof healthcare, because without capacity, healthcare is not possible. By organizing capacity management properly, we improve and guarantee the quality of care.

My areas of expertise are:

  • Integrated Capacity Management and Planning
